Description:
Porphyry is an igneous rock, formed by the cooling of magma. It is composed of millimetre-sized crystals of plagioclase, alkali feldspars, amphiboles, pyroxenes and quartz, set in a microgranular groundmass. A strong stone perfectly suited for outdoor use, it is wear-resistant, frost-resistant, exceptionally hard, dense, and resistant to pressure.
Appearance:
Colour tending towards beige (due to weathering), from a blue-grey or green-grey base, sometimes reddish or purplish, speckled with small light and/or dark spots.
The general appearance and shades may vary depending on the batch
Applications:
Paving stones and kerbs for roadworks, parks and garden landscaping
Tolerance applicable from the limits of the nominal dimension ranges (min. and max.): 1 cm
