Designation:
Reclaimed or salvaged porphyry pavers with a sawn top face. This is considered recycling, as the product is transformed.
Origin: Belgium, the Lessines and Quenast region
Description:
Porphyry is an igneous rock, resulting from the cooling of magma. It is composed of millimetre-sized crystals of plagioclase, alkali feldspars, amphiboles, pyroxenes and quartz, set in a microgranular groundmass. A solid stone perfectly suited for outdoor use, it is wear- and frost-resistant, exceptionally hard, dense, and resistant to pressure.
Appearance:
A beige-tinged colour (due to weathering), based on a blue-grey or green-grey background, sometimes reddish or purplish, speckled with small light and/or dark spots.
The general appearance and shades may vary depending on the batch
Applications: Pavers and kerbs for roadworks and the landscaping of parks and gardens
Tolerance applicable from the limits of the ranges of nominal dimensions (min. and max.): 1 cm
