Reclaimed Blue Stone Pavers. Petit Granit or Crinoïd Limestone
Origin:
Belgium, Provinces of Hainaut, Liège, and Namur. Basins of Soignies, Ourthe-Amblève, and Bocq,
Description:
Compact crinoidal limestone with a grey-blue hue.
Appearance:
Split or patinated, the stone exhibits color variations that depend on the size of the crinoid remnants and the abundance of the binder. The stone contains white veins and fossils. The fossils give fresh breaks sparkling facets in the light. Crinoids, corals, and shells appear light against a dark background, varying from light grey to black, including a bluish range, depending on the finish. The stone lightens with exposure to weathering, due to superficial leaching of intercalated carbon.
The general appearance and shades may vary depending on the batch
